SILVER COMPANIES TO EXHIBIT AT BANGKOK JUNE FAIR |
As the anticipation continues to build
up for the second edition of the Bangkok Gems & Jewelry Manufacturers
Fair or the Bangkok June Fair as it is popularly known, it is
becoming quite clear that the major emphasis at this event will
be on silver jewellery. Indeed as the price of gold continues
to soar through the stratosphere, silver is looking more and more
attractive to consumers all over the globe. To be sure, the price
of silver has risen as well but it still remains an affordable
alternative that is both chic and stylish.
Thailand is one of the world's
most important silver jewellery manufacturing centres. In fact,
the kingdom has an ancient noble association with silversmithing
that goes back centuries. Thai silver jewellery benefits not only
from the excellent craftsmanship that is inherent here but also
from the top quality of materials used, the reasonable manufacturing
and infrastructure costs and most important of all, instant accessibility
to all kinds of gemstones as the country can proudly claim its
status as the most important coloured stone centre in the world.
The top Thai silver jewellery manufacturers are in fact, known
internationally by name and have therefore made fairly strong
reputations for themselves.

the show in all the major international trade journals, via giant
billboards, direct mailers, radio and print advertisements, etc.
Thai Airways International, in its I capacity as Official Carrier,
has promoted the show through all its overseas offices in the main
international gem and jewellery markets. The Department of Export
Promotion and other relevant government agencies have also helped
by promoting the show to overseas buyers via the Thai Trade Centres

Last year, the international trade media
attended the inaugural edition of the Bangkok Gems & Jewelry
Manufacturers Fair in full force and this year too the trade press
