Over the past several years the Bangkok Gems & Jewelry Fair has achieved the rank of one of the top five gem and jewelry events in the world.

This coming February 24-28, 2004, the fair takes a gaint leap forward by moving into the new area next door to the current hall at Impact Exhibition & Convention Center.

This move became necessary due to the demand for more space by both existing exhibitors and companies on the waiting list hoping to have a presence in the fair. The expansion makes way for 2,600 booths in 60,000 sqm of unparallelled exhibition space, firmly esblishing the fair as the biggest gem and jewelry exhibition in Asia. Not only will the fair cover more area; the exhibition hall will feature a one-floor plan with more facilities and services than ever before. This expansion allows for more exhibitors, more special exhibits, better facilities and services, such as more comfort zones and upgraded food and beverage outlets, and more of everything one expects to find in a world-class event. In order to cater further to buyers's needs, exhibitors will be grouped by category making it even easier for visitors to find the products they're looking for at the fair.

Bangkok's reputation as the world's trading center for gems and jewelry serves to draw 30,000 visitors to the event where exhibitors will showcase gold, platinum, and silver jewelry, diamonds, gemstones and pearls, as well as machinery, tools, packaging and precious metals. A special section is also dedicated to institutions and organizations such as the Chantaburi Gemstone Association, Gem & Jewelry Institute of Thailand, Srinakarinviroj University, Gemological Institute of America, Asian Institute of Gemological Sciences and many more.

In addition to the all-new special highlights, the fair will still host its most popular exhibits such as TGJ Elite Creations, a showcase of dazzling jewelry sets and jewel encrusted objects d'art crafted by some of the finest artisans in Thailand. Another top exhibit is the Hot 2004 pavilion where exhibitors at the fair display an array of their latest and greatest jewelry designs. Also not be missed is the Silver Exporter Club exhibit, a grand presentaion of the very best in Thai silver jewelry which is taking the world by storm. The Gemopolis Auction Pavilion also draws crowds of people looking for extra special items or extra special items or extra special deals.

In addition to re-designing the exhibition hall, special attention goes into organizing the Bangkok Gems & JewelryFair's extravagant opening ceremony as well as the lavish welcome party hosted by the co-organizers. There are also a wide variety of events including seminars, gem and jewelry competitions, fashion shows, live entertainment, and cocktail parties hosted by top organizations and publications in the industry.
