"GRS Helping AIDS Children in Mogok"

Mogok is situated in Burma in the valley of the occurrence of the famous gem quality rubies. Inhabitants from Mogok have initiated a project to help AIDS orphans. The project matured to a certain extent in providing shelter and basic food supplies but needs more support for AIDS medicaments.

GRS joins this project by donating the entire sales income from the GRS’s journal "Contributions to Gemology" which are sold in Tucson this year, including the new 1-hour DVD on mining and rare gemstones in Mogok.
The brand new GRS DVD movie gives also an inside into the living style, working conditions, remote market places as well as shows many of the children living there in Mogok.

  
     

The total revenue from this project will be published on the Internet on www.gemresearch.ch under the news section titled GRS HELPS MOGOK-AIDS CHILDREN in May 2008. A detailed listing of the contributors, details on the sales and of what has been achieved with the money will be included. Companies or individuals contributing to the project have the choice to be listed with their contribution or being mentioned on our website as donators in the anonymous category.
