The different step for cutting diamond.
1.Determine direction of grain.
2.a. Cleaving
Splitting  the  ssone along the cleavage plan is  the  method  for  dividing larger diamond crystals, with the help of a knife and a wooden stick..
b. Sawing
Dividing a crystal by using a diamond saw.
3. Bruting or grinding
shaping  a  diamond  into  a  circular  outline  by  removing  part  of  it  by rubbing against another diamond.
4. Grinding or blocking
the partly finished stone is now ready for faceting.
making a flat  surface  by  holding, the  crystal against  a  rotating  wheel applied with diamond power.
5. Polishing
preparing  the  faceted  gem  by  a more refined application of grinding to finish polishing.
