Terzano F.lli s.r.L, was established by Alessandro Terzano, in
Valenza, Italy back in the 20s and boasts a long and renowned

1. The name of diamond was initially
used in ancient Sanskrit script of India. Diamond was first
known as "Vatchara" which means lightning. The
assimilation of Indian culture has eventually transformed
the Indian word "Patchara" into "Petch"
or diamond in Thai.

teachings of Buddha, seven auspicious natural ore are referred
to which include "Suvan" or gold, "Ratchata"
or silver, "Pavar" or Praparn crystal "Manee"

or cat's eye diamond, "Mutangta" or Mukda crystal,
and "Vachira" or diamond.

20. Diamond in Thailand was
first discovered over 40 years ago. It was recorded that diamond
was found along with tin in mining area in Phuket and Phang-nga
in tin-rich mining areas both in-land and off-shore Andaman
Sea west of Takuapa District as well as in Phuket.

found in Thailand have the size between l .8 to 4.7 mm. (0.04-0.89
karat). A 6-karat diamond was reportedly found in the Kapong
District, Phang-nga. Part of this diamond was good for gems
