Van Cleef & Arpels opens the doors to its new jewellery school |
|
The prestigious brand Van Cleef & Arpels has opened a new school of jewellery for both connoisseurs and professionals. The school, simply dubbed LECOLE, intends to shed light on the secretive world of jewellery and to reveal the essence of the fine craft of jewellery.
Classes will be open to all and will encourage the intellectual and emotional connection with jewellery through a non-techinical curriculum that is structured around 3 steps. These steps, subsequently broken into chapters, are "Unveiling," "Shedding light on, " and "Revealing," Thecourse of study is flexible for the first 2 levels, adaptable to one's interests or experience. However, certain fundamental courses are required to process to level 3.
L'E'COLE Van Cleef & Arpels is located in Paris on the Place Vendome in an 18th century town house and features an experimentation salon for handing and trying on: trainingsalons for listening, watching and learning; and a boudoir-library for further knowledge and discussions.
Courses started in February 2012 and are conducted in English or French. Further information can be found at www.lecolevancleefarpels.com.
